Mr. Shoichet has been engaged in the practice of Customs and international trade law for the past 28 years. He served as a staff attorney in the Headquarters office of the U.S. Customs Service from 1975-1977. Mr. Shoichet has extensive experience in federal labeling and country of origin marking requirements, appraisement and classification of merchandise, including consumer articles of all kinds, fashion accessories, luggage and handbags, etc., as well as management of Customs Service audits and investigations and Department of Interior proceedings, including Fish & Wildlife licensure hearings. He is a member of New York County Lawyers Association and the Customs and International Trade Bar Association (member, continuing Legal Education and Professional Responsibility Committee 1988-1990).
